After an uneventful weekend in terms of Star Wars 7 news, we are greeted by an interesting report from BBC news who claim that actor Miltos Yerolemou has joined the cast of Star Wars Episode 7. If you don't know who Miltos is, then you probably aren't a major fan of HBO's fantasy drama Game of Thrones where he had a brilliant performance during season 1. He played the role of a professional swordsman Syrio Forel and is best known for a quote that you may have seen on the Internet: What do we say to the God of Death? Not today!
All of this aside, let's look at how Miltos might contribute to the new movie and what his role in Star Wars 7 might be.
Now if you've been following the Star Wars 7 news for a while, you probably know that Miltos Yerolemou isn't by any means the first Game of Thrones star to join the Episode VII team. In fact, Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) joined the crew in July and the fans of the two series where thrilled. However, we never found out much about the role that Gwendoline Christie will play in the upcoming movie. While she is generally seen as the 'good guy' in Game of Thrones a lot of people have speculated that she indeed has the capacity to be one hell of a villain and as such nothing is for certain.
For now, we can only have a look at what connects Miltos Yerolemou and Gwendoline - and that's their role as expert swordsmen in the GoT series. Due to their obvious skills and experience it would be extremely easy for them to switch out their medieval-themed swords for lightsabers.
The general consensus, however, is that Miltos won't have a major role in Star Wars 7. This conclusion seems rather obvious considering that he joined the cast much later than the other crew members. Another reason is the fact that nobody from Lucasfilm has issues a statement regarding this event.
As for Yerolemou himself, he's been quite busy since his role in Game of Thrones ended and his role in the new Star Wars movie will certainly be beneficial to his career. Lately, he's appeared on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company - one of the world's best known and most reputable theater groups. He's also currently working on a role for the BBC adaptation of Hilary Mantel's booker prize winning novel Wolf Hall.
As for Star Wars: Episode VII there haven't been any major changes since our last news update. As we said previously, the filming has recently resumed at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.
