Some of the new faces
While we have been given a lot of speculations regarding the new movie, it is still only known as Star Wars Episode 7. However, now that the cast has been reveled along with the estimated launch date, information will probably flow a lot quicker. Launch date? - I head you asking. Yes, it is coming a lot closer actually and has been set for the 18th of December 2015.

Disney and Lucasfilm made their announcement regarding these events on Tuesday, as casting speculations have run wild for months. They finally decided to give a green light to J.J. Abrams and the actors to go out to the public and announce the new. Regarding this, J.J. Abrams said:
“We are so excited to finally share the cast of ‘Star Wars: Episode VII.’ It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”

Among the new actors, the most unusual name is Daisy Ridley who nobody has heard of thus far. As such it is very unclear whom Ridley will play, but sources have always said the children of Solo and Princess Leia would play a part in the film and as such Ridley could possibly play their daughter. Since the plot of the movie will be set 30 years after the Return of the Jedi miss Daisy has fits into the age group to be the child of Han and Leia.

Learn More About the Star Wars 7 Cast

As mentioned already, Daisy Ridley is the most unknown newcomer of the bunch. We are sorry to say that her most notable credit to date is that a guest role on the PBS show “Mr. Selfridge.”Ouch? Well, let us give her the benefit of the doubt as she might just have the energy and the ideas to breath some new life to the franchise.

Then we have, Adam Driver who broke out with his role of Adam on the HBO comedy show “Girls” and recently wrapped production on the Warner Bros. movie “Midnight Special”. It is also worth noting that he already worked with Oscar Isaac who will also have a role in the upcoming “Star Wars” movie.

Indeed, Oscar Isaac is also a star on the rise, and his most recent movie was “Inside Llewyn Davis” which scored him some of the best reviews of his career. He is repped by UTA and Inspire Entertainment and can be seen next in “A Most Violent Year.”

But, one of the more familiar name on this list is certainly Andy Serkis, who is best known for his work as Gollum in “The Lord of the Rings” as well as Caesar in “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”. He's been in the industry for a while and he should have a lot of experience under his belt by now.

Domnhall Gleeson almost landed the role of one of the villains in Fox's "Fantastic 4" and since then this is probably the biggest thing he got going. It is also worth noting that Domnhall is the son of actor Brendan Gleeson and was last seen in Working Title’s “About Time”.

Finally, Max Von Sydow is the veteran in this group as he has been in the industry for a long time. In fact, he has been nominated for two Oscars for far. His past credits include a number of Ingmar Bergman classics, “Minority Report,” “Needful Things” and “Robin Hood".

As you can see Star Wars Episode VII is full of new faces, but the main roles will probably be given to the original cast. During this movie we will probably have a chance to pay our homage one last time to them and we will get to know the new (future) stars of the series. Remember, Disney is making a while new trilogy, not just a new movie!

What are your thoughts folks?
